One of the cooler things I’ve heard from random dudes in bars since I moved to Mexico City is some dude asking, upon hearing I’m from Virginia, “¿Eres CIA?”
Intelligence agencies aside, Virginia really has been getting some attention over the past year or two. What with swinging for Obama and all.
The music blog Sheena Beaston recently recognized our contributions, also, with a track from Viking and CJ Milli (Richmond). Check out #6 in this post. And #9, really, since that has Missy in it.
Really Pharrell, Missy, Timbaland kinda did it for Virginia like 5 or 10 years ago. But I guess as normal the impact took a while to pick up.
